8.4 Sending Mail

You can send mail to others while within PMDF MAIL or directly from DCL.

Note
PMDF MAIL has a maximum line length of 1022 characters. If you try to send a file or forward a mail message that contains lines longer than this maximum, you will get the following error: 


%EMAIL-E-MSGWRTERR, message write error
For files, you must modify the file to make sure all of the lines in it are shorter than the maximum. For mail messages, you can extract them to files, then edit the files to make the lines shorter than the maximum.
