Controls whether or not the screen is cleared before each message or directory listing display.
Requires SYSPRV privilege to set information for users other than yourself; requires SYSPRV or SYSNAM privilege to show information about users other than yourself.

Ordinarily, the screen of your terminal is cleared before each page of a message or directory listing is displayed. This default behavior is selected with the
SET ERASE_SCREEN
command. However, you may elect to suppress this screen erasure with theSET NOERASE_SCREEN
command.
