Converting PMDF to run on 64-bit Linux systems was the primary reason
for the 6.8 release. A few minor bugs have also been addressed for all
platforms. These are the highlights of this release:
- As noted above, PMDF for Linux is now a 64-bit product. 32-bit
systems are no longer supported, and the 32-bit support libraries
are no longer required to run PMDF on 64-bit systems.
- The OpenSSL libraries used by PMDF have been upgraded to the current
releases. The VMS version uses OpenSSL 1.0.2t, and the Linux version
uses OpenSSL 1.1.1f.
- The OpenLDAP library used by PMDF on Linux has been upgraded.
